Phasmid Eggs

Phasmids, also known as stick insects, are admired for their camouflage abilities. However, it's their eggs that truly go unnoticed, hidden among foliage and resembling plant seeds. Each phasmid egg is a miniature masterpiece, designed to ensure the continuation of its species. Despite their miniature appearance, easily missed by the naked eye, these delicate eggs contain a wealth of information within their form, texture, and surface. In my current ceramic creations, I magnify and reinterpret, transforming them into imagined eggs that showcase their diverse forms, surfaces, and intricate details. I aim to highlight the precious quality of these gem-like eggs.
